The vineyards of Palmeri are farmed according to organic principles. To reach a high level of biodiversity and a balanced vineyard, we plant different grasses between the rows, don’t use chemicals and work the vineyards manually.

It is all about respect: respect for the unique landscape of Avola, for the many animals, that share the vineyards with us, and respect for the nature, that should not be harmed by our work. But also respect for the people that work in the vineyards and live in their vicinity.

The vines profit from organic farming, making them stronger and more robust. The high biodiversity hosts many useful animals in our vineyards. Consequently, the health of our vineyards increases, grape quality improves, and the wine gets more complexity and personality.
